Blow Dry Like a Pro - Rough Dry 80% + Brush + Cool Blast

The blow-dry routine you're doing might be adding stress to your hair without you realizing it. Let's change that with a smarter technique: rough dry to 80%, then finish smooth + cool blast.

  • The rough dry: starting on medium heat and high air with a nozzle can speed up drying while minimizing heat exposure. Focus on the scalp and mid lengths to speed up drying. For most hair, stop at 80% dry
  • The smoothing phase: Using a round or flat brush, section hair and direct airflow downward from roots to ends to flatten the cuticle and reduce frizz.
  • The cool blast: Finishing each section with a burst of cool air locks the style, seals the cuticle, add shine, and reduces fly-aways.
  • Why it's key for winter/transitional weather: Col, dry air and indoor heat leave hair brittle and prone to breakage and frizz.  Using this technique helps maintain strength, protects the cuticle, and leaves hair looking polished.
  • In the Salon: Let your stylist at Hairspa & Co walk you through this in your next blowout - we'll adjust for your hair density, texture, and seasonal challenges
