Summer fun and your hair....Part 2

Because your hair matters to us, let's revisit summer hair care and the value.

Today, motorcycle hair....

Wind and sun can shred a good head of hair in one quick 20 minute ride. As much as I love wind therapy, I value the condition of my hair even more. If you agree lets chat more about what you can do.

The day of a ride, I prefer dirty hair but I know days don't always align either. I always start with a leave in conditioner. For ride season we recommend Keratin Complex Obsessed Leave In. This is a great chance to pack the hair full of moisture and reinforce the strength of the strands. Blow dry in (air drying can compromise the condition of the hair further). I do continue to blow dry and style the hair even though my hair won't be down for a majority of the ride.

Your next step before hopping on the back of the bike; a good braid. I do a low braid and tie the bottom with a soft elastic. The braid allows the styled curls to stay for the duration of the trip but also ties the hair back so it isn't blowing around (blowing hair is shredding in the wind, keep that in mind).

My final prep before wind therapy is a dorag! Is it the most stylish, I don't know but it is the most effective. There are all sorts of wide headbands and head covers that fit nicely under a helmet but for me the dorag seems to hold up the best and keeps my hair in place.

At each stop, I take my hair out of the braid and gently brush out with the unbrush. And I mean every time we stop, it just Keeps the flyaways in check and makes sure I get everything covered back up before we set out again.
